We are a member of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC).
UFMCC has over 200 churches and groups in 30 countries:
Argentina, Australia, Brazil,
Canada, Chile, Columbia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, El Salvador,
England, France, Germany, Jamaica, Kenya, Mexico, Moldova, New Zealand,
Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Romania,
Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela
and Zimbabwe.
UFMCC
has a three-fold ministry: to proclaim Christian salvation, build
Christian community and engage in Christian social action.
MCC was founded in October 1968 in Los Angeles, one year prior to 1969's Stonewall Riots.
UFMCC is the largest international vehicle for public education about homosexuality and Christianity.
AIDS
has dramatically affected UFMCC. Since 1982 an estimated 6,000
members have died of AIDS and related diseases, yet the epidemic has
also brought many new members who are facing questions of life and
death.
MCC
pastors welcome the opportunity to bless the relationships of same-sex
partners. MCC clergy perform more than 6,000 same-sex weddings annually.
The first MCC in the United Kingdom was founded in London in 1973.
MCC
first held a worship service in Bournemouth in 1979. For three
decades we have been celebrating God's love for all people!
